Random Animal Picker

Looking for a random animal — for a game, a picky moment, a story prompt or classroom fun? Spin the wheel once and let it choose from a real menagerie, right in your browser.

How it works

1

Pick a pool

Leave the wheel on "All" for the full list of animals, or tap a category — Wild, Pets, Sea, Farm, Birds or Insects — to spin only inside that group.

2

Spin the wheel

The engine draws a winning animal first with a fair random pick, then the wheel spins smoothly on the GPU and lands on it.

3

Read the result

Your animal appears above the button along with one short natural-history fact. Spin again for a completely new pick.

Frequently asked questions

Is the animal pick truly random?

Yes. Every animal currently on the wheel has exactly one segment, a fair random pick decides the winner first, and the wheel simply lands on that segment. Nothing is weighted.

Can I narrow the pick to one category?

Yes. Use the chips above the wheel — Wild, Pets, Sea, Farm, Birds or Insects — to spin only among those animals, or keep "All" for the full list.

How many animals are on the wheel?

A curated pool of over forty real animals. Every entry is an actual species, and each one carries a short natural-history fact shown with the result.

Do you keep the animal I picked?

No. The result lives in your browser tab and nowhere else. Refresh the page and it is gone — there is no storage and no history.

Where do the animal facts come from?

They are short, hand-written natural-history notes bundled into the page itself. They load with the tool and are never fetched from a server.

Is it free to use?

Completely free. There are no accounts, no sign-ups and no paid tiers. Open the page and spin.
